OK, new year , new start. I have been wanting to start a blog for some time but thought 'who would want to read about me?' I now think this isn't about what other people want to read about. It is for me to record everyday life. If other people come across my blog and like it that is fine, if they don't and it turns into a glorified diary, well that is fine too. Hopefully blogging about my ongoing projects will encourage me to complete my WIPs rather than putting things to one side and never getting back to them!
I really do not have a clue what I am doing with this at the moment so it really is going to be learning as I go and hopefully things will get better. The laptop I am using at the moment does not have a card reader so need to get that sorted before I can post pictures.
Right, who am I?, Where am I? and what do I do?
I am Jo 43, married, mum of 2 teenagers, we have a cat and a dog
I live in a small seaside town on the east coast of Yorkshire.
I work part time as a healthcare assistant at a GP surgery.
When I am
not working I enjoy crafting. I have gone through different crafts,
starting with paper crafting I have finally settled on what I know is my
true love- crochet. I am self taught only been hooking about 2 years
and not a prolific worker but love what I do achieve. I do sell bits at
craft fayres and to my colleagues.I love crochet blankets but prefer the quick results of small projects. I have started a new blanket this week inspired by Heather and her Elmer squares, more on tha tonce I get photos sorted. Like many crocheters I am also a lover of all things Lucy, who could fail to be charmed by her colourful simple love of life?
I love going for walks and when I can get my children out we will sometimes go geocaching, a kind of electronic treasure hunt. We have ended up in some beautiful places that we would not have thought of going while doing this and with the advent of smart phones it is more accessible to more people. Give it a go. I also enjoy reading, mainly chick lit as I tend to read when I go to bed and don't want anything too heavy to keep me awake thinking!
Ok, that's enough for now.It has got me started, let's see if I can keep it going.
